NBJ Announces 2012 Health Care Heroes

The Nashville Business Journal announced the winners of the 2012 Health Care Heroes awards.  Winners were decided by a panel of health care judges. Winners from each of eight categories will be honored at an awards luncheon May 10 at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. Winners will also be profiled in the May 18 edition of the Nashville Business Journal.

• Dr. John Lamb, retired. Dr. Lamb has spent over 40 years treating numerous patients throughout his career as an orthopedic surgeon. In 2001, he co-founded Faith Family Medical Clinic to provide affordable health care for the working uninsured, and has helped over 20,000 uninsured patients receive quality medical care. He has served on Faith Family’s board of directors and as a volunteer specialist for the past 10 years. Dr. Lamb has volunteered monthly at the Nashville Rescue Mission and served on the board for over 20 years, and has served as chairman of the Nashville Academy of Medicine and the Arthritis Foundation.

Three New Members Added to Nashville Team

March 30th, 2012

We are excited to announce three recent additions to our Nashville team:

Shaun Grogan has been hired as a network systems engineer. A graduate of Hartford University with a bachelor’s degree in information technology, he has 18 years of experience supporting private and public sector IT needs. Prior to joining LBMC, Grogan was with DRS Technical Services, Inc. as a defense consultant with the U. S. Army, serving as a project lead and senior systems administrator in Afghanistan. He is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer, a Microsoft Certified IT Professional in Enterprise Administration and a long-time member of the American Radio Relay League.

Cory Brevick joins the LBMC Technologies team as a software developer. Most recently Cory was an English teacher at WEB International in Changzhou, China. He is a graduate of MTSU with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Cory brings a natural talent for programming as well the desire to work in a fast-pace environment.

Chris Coccia has been added as a business systems consultant and will be providing customized solutions to clients utilizing Microsoft Dynamics GP and Intacct ERP software. Previously he was an AP specialist for Affinion. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee and a master’s of accountancy from Belmont University.

News from this week’s Convergence

Over 10,000 attendees gathered at Convergence 2012 in Houston this past week to hear how Microsoft will help them become connected, forward-looking organizations. Microsoft announced that it is designing software and cloud-based services and unveiled its vision to help organizations become Dynamic Businesses.

Of interest to LBMC Technologies GP customers is the announcement that Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 will be cloud-enabled for Windows Azure, optimized for small and midsize businesses (SMBs), and generally available in Q4 of calendar year 2012.

Microsoft also announced the next Microsoft Dynamics CRM service update will be available in Q4 of calendar year 2012, and it is intended to deliver capabilities in social customer care and cloud-based data enrichment services.  (Earlier this year, Microsoft also announced the Q2 service update of Microsoft Dynamics CRM featuring native mobile support for popular mobile devices.)  Microsoft released the latest Dynamics CRM adoption numbers, with 33,000 customers and 2.25 million users worldwide.
